Gabble sends large D-Bus messages as a single IBB stanza, which the server will often drop. We should either split large messages into stanzas (strongly preferred), or document/specify a smaller maximum message size than the D-Bus specification normally allows.

Salut has the same bug, so I'll clone this if I can work out how.

Well, not really. With Salut there is no real stanza max size as there is no server to drop too big stanzas.
Anyway, using IBB in Salut is crack and should be replaced by sjoerd's multicast protocol.
