"Please describe the problem:
I cannot read this pdf, while xpdf/gsview can.

Steps to reproduce:
1. download pdf: http://www.t-rex-engineering.com/doc/20061212094348.pdf
2. open in evince


Actual results:
page is empty

Expected results:
show the pdf

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
a thumbnail created by nautilus does show the contens, gsview and xpdf can view
the file"

I can confirm the problem is only present with the cairo backend.

Hi Carlos,

I wonder whether the actual file is to be found at http://www.t-rex-engineering.com/Files/Billeder/Ecom/Produkter/Moeller/20061212094348.pdf, since the given URL doesn't seem to work.

In that case, poppler-cairo seeems to display it fine, as shown in the screenshot.   Maybe the issue should be closed.
