Description Sjoerd Simons 2007-08-26 08:22:48 UTC
Hi,

tv-out detection is very flakey (sometimes reports connected while it's not connected and disconnected while connected..). Reverting commit 6f398cd07ea734dd66a8eac71b629e59123d75b8 makes it rock-solid again.

This is on a PowerBook5,2 with an RV350

lspci -nv shows:
0000:00:10.0 0300: 1002:4e50 (prog-if 00 [VGA])
        Subsystem: 1002:4e50
Flags: bus master, 66MHz, medium devsel, latency 255, IRQ 48
        Memory at b8000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M]
        I/O ports at 0400 [size=256]
        Memory at b0000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
Expansion ROM at f1000000 [disabled] [size=128K]
        Capabilities: [58] AGP version 2.0
Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2

hmmm... the exact opposite is try on my rv350. We may need a quirk table.

TV-out load detection is always hard to get working reliably.
