Description Stefan Huchler 2007-09-30 17:12:20 UTC
i have this bug at least since v. 6.7.193 and 6.7.194 i am using ubuntu gutsy, it just dont work anymore, i didnt change config or something, i entered a bugreport on ubuntus bugzilla but i think this bug must be upstream. but i am not shure.

perhaps i will burn a gutsy-beta-cd and boot from it today or tomorow but i dont belive that i screwed my system (i did nothing but updating)

for more information you can look at the ubuntu-bugreport:

so i installed now the driver directly form the git,
newest commit 53a67e31904bec9a3aa1bd24de8034dcafea1d2a

and it have the same bug. so i think its not a ubuntu bug.

do you have fglrx installed? it looks like a libGL problem not a radeon driver problem..
Comment 3 Stefan Huchler 2007-09-30 18:08:23 UTC
uih, you are the owner of the driver-tree thanx for your good work, hmm i think i have installed it but i dont do use it, but because you say it ubuntu have no tool for switching with this drivers only the graphical one and i used that, but you are right i try to deinstall the driver i did not load the fglrx modul and have radeon in xorg.conf but libgl could be the prob.

but i can say thats not your driver i checked 2 other versions of your three from 1 month ago and from 2 month ago and it do not work with them so its not a bug in your source because i had the problem not for such a long time.
Comment 4 Stefan Huchler 2007-09-30 18:16:19 UTC
ok i removed fglrx driver and it works, is ubuntu so stupid that it cant manage 2 different drivers at the same time on the disk? i am used to it that i can have installed both, in gentoo there is no problem with that.

But you can mark that as invalid or so. thanx for help.
