I've applied for cairo on GSoC and in any case plan to contribute on the cairo codebase; currently I've started to work on the "degenerate matrices problem" from the GSoC ideas list.

I'd like to ask for an account on freedesktop.org so I can host a private git branch there to simplify communication of patches/my status/my changes as recommended on the cairo mailing list.

What's the status of this? Do you still want an account?
If you just want an account for private repos, I think this bug should be assigned to sitewranglers instead of cairo.
