Radeon/X log with X1550 installed in Alpha system with logverbose 8

xserver (v 1.4.0.90-r3 from portage) fails to startup using
xf86-video-radeonhd-1.2.1 or xf86-video-ati from git.

radeonhd is unable to retrieve PLL and reference clocks, and radeon crashes. Both are symptoms of the same problem though.

Specs:
HP Alphaserver DS20L (dual 833 MHz EV68s)
Radeon X1550 PCI (RV516)

This log was created using radeonhd + patches available in bug #15521.

xserver-git build failure log

Since xf86ReadPciBios (evidently, the trouble causing function) has been removed in favor of libpciaccess, I attempted to compile xserver from git. Build failed. Log attached. I'll investigate as well as I can.

*Sigh* I mean bug 15169...

I've been told that this is a kernel bug, and not related to X.org. Can anyone confirm/deny?
Comment 7 Matt Turner 2008-12-02 14:00:24 UTC
This is in fact a kernel bug. Closing.
