Monitor just stays black.
Option Randr12 "0" fixes this.

procedure was:
cd into sysfs, find my card
echo 1 > rom
cat rom > ~/file

this card has one VGA and one S-video output

The crash looks like the xserver doing something bad, but the DCB entry issue should now be fixed, so hopefully the card will work.

With the DCB fix the crash ought to be avoided.  Please reopen if the card/monitor combo still fails.
