Description Rafał Miłecki 2010-01-26 03:20:53 UTC
Over year ago I found and reported working quirks for my machine:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel.suspend.devel/5919

As the result pm-suspend (and s2ram) uses "-p -m" for my Sony VAIO by default.

This is fine (and needed!) as long as I don't use KMS. Unfortunately pm-utils 1.2.6 uses same quirks for KMS. That is absolutely not needed, it hurts by locking up my Sony (bug #26185).

So I believe we should use quirks for non-KMS only.

After trying 1.3 and fixing bug #26286 , bug #26295 and bug #26296 I can confirm that 1.3 detects KMS correctly.

All three 1.3 blocking bugs are fixed now! :) And root problem of this bug report was fixed even earlier in 1.3 branch.
