I'm using the nouveau driver and offb shipped with Fedora 10 (xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.11-1.20090106git133c1a5.fc10.ppc) on my Powerbook G4 12" (NV34M [GeForce FX Go5200]). I see slight pixel corruption in and around text - some (few) pixels which are supposed to be white are black and viceversa. Resizing and moving windows around fixes the pixels. This is most noticeable when switching to virtual console and back, but can happen spontaneously as well. Logs (X and kernel) and configs are same as in bug 20361.
Same problem here. Ubuntu 9.10, up-to-date GeForce 7300 LE Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU 4300 @ 1.80GHz kernel 2.6.31-19-generic I installed the Ubuntu package. Nv driver runs well but Nouveau has that problem.
On Fedora 12 the problem has gone away though, so maybe you just need an updated version of the driver. Ubuntu tends to lag behind here.
Created attachment 35508 [details] Example of the problem same problem here with Geforce 6600 GT (NV43). Debian's version for xorg's nouveau driver : 0.0.15+git20100329+7858345-3 I didn't see this problem with my laptop with the same version (which has a NV50 series).
