                Let me know whether I need to build only the kernel or other graphics packages too in that list.

DP MST support is still in a rough shape. Could you try with a more up-to-date
kernel such as Linux 4.16 or our drm-tip tree
(https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip) if you know how to recompile your own
kernel?
