Description Alessio Frusciante 2008-05-07 13:16:13 UTC
Desktop Tower Defense (http://www.handdrawngames.com/DesktopTD/DesktopTD15k.swf) isn't displayed appropriately. On the start screen there are some white squares flashing on the left and the top part of the screen isn't drawn at all.

This is working fine with 881f351b88b56d04c75d5e3db97c23a423d4ab23. Upgrading to latest git in minutes.

We discussed this on IRC yesterday, and it's most likely not Swfdec's fault. It looked to me like a driver bug. I suggested getting the Swfdec source code installed and after doing ./configure && make, run:
player/swfplay http://www.handdrawngames.com/DesktopTD/DesktopTD15k.swf
The eror should be visible now. If it's not, the new caching algorithms in Swfdec 0.7 should already have solved the problem. If it is, run:
player/swfplay -i http://www.handdrawngames.com/DesktopTD/DesktopTD15k.swf
If the error is gone now, this is likely an X driver bug and we need to reassign this.

Alessio just told me on IRC, that switching from radeon to vesa drivers solved this problem for him, so I'm gonna close this, as this bug does not contain anything of use to the Xorg people.
