Sorry to put this here, wasn't sure where to ask.

In a rpm/yum package what triggers the update type icon? I want to code my packages with this but can't find any documentation on what triggers it.

Sorry for the delay. The icons are derived from the metadata from bodhi. A severity is chosen at reposync time, and this is used for the icon. If you have any other questions, join the mialing list, we're a friendly enough gang :-)

Thanks for the help. You pointed me in the right direction

Just for completeness.

This explains why I couldn't find it. I was looking at the package level when it's on the repository level. The file is repodata/updateinfo.xml.gz which is an xml report of packages being released and their level.

For a custom repository you need to build the file updateinfo.xml manually and use "modifyrepo path_to_file/updateinfo.xml path_to_dir/repodata" to add it after createrepo is built. The createrepo clobbers this definition so if your doing a reposync with cobbler you need to apply this modifyrepo each time manually.

There may be an auto way of doing this, I just haven't found it yet.
