pdf file illustrating inconsistent font rendering

I have a simple LaTeX powerdot document that has been compiled to a pdf using
dvipdf. When opening the file in okular's presentation mode, the appearance of
the table of contents in the left portion of the slide changes from slide to
slide. It is expected that only the highlighting will change, but the fonts
become distorted as well.

The exact entries that are distorted may change with each opening of the file.
The current slide when presentation mode is activated may change this as well.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open slide document
2. Activate presentation mode
3. Move between slides
Actual Results:
Fonts for the table of contents may become distorted for some slides.

Expected Results:
Only the highlighted entry should change.
