It would be a very useful to have a gconf option to disable automatic maximising/resizing of gnome-packagekit. Reasons for this:

All other GNOME apps either don't start maximised at all or allow the user to decide, thus:

1. gnome-packagekit behaviour breaks consistency and sticks out like a sore thumb
2. It makes one feel totally helpless, when one cannot decide for himself whether gnome-packagekit should start maximised and/or what it's default window size should be.

Consider very small screen interaces (netbooks - 1024x600):

Maximus in Ubuntu Netbook Remix allows users to opt-out of maximising via gconf

IIRC Moblin has gnome-packagekit and starts it windowed, not full screen.

Sure, I've disabled the clever code by default, you need to compile with --enable-small-form-factor to enable the (in my opinion, broken) behaviour.
