I have a dell c640 laptop using a radeon mobility 7500. 
If I close the lid and open it again the X server crashes.
The following is found in Xorg.0.log:

xorg was compiled using gcc 3.4.4 and the linuxkernel is 2.6.13. Using the
slackware-current distribution.
