If I perform a fresh install of Fedora 18 on my Macbook Pro 3,1 and perform no updates, my unit runs and reboots fine. Once I perform updates and install the latest Xorg updates my unit will only boot to a black screen after rebooting. I determined it was Xorg after installing the Kernel and Xorg updates seperatly. I have tried numerous times, and the cause is the Xorg current update (see the above attached link). My video card is the Nvidia 8600M GT 128MB, but the driver is nouveau. I tried installed the proprietary Nvidia drivers after performing the Xorg update and it still displays no video.

Is this still an issue with the latest kernel? If so, please take a look at http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/Bugs/ for the information that would be useful in resolving this.
