Description Tim Richardson 2013-07-02 11:48:13 UTC
On OS X Mountain Lion on an external monitor, I can grab the bottom of the formula bar box to make it multiple lines. However, when I try to make it small again, it doesn't work.

1. Using the "splitter" icon, grab the bottom of the formula bar to make it a few lines high.

2. Using the "splitter" icon, grab the bottom of the formula bar.
But as soon as I try to move the bar upwards, the splitter icon jumps towards the bottom of the screen, a long way from the bar. Therefore the bar can not be pulled up.

Note that I can reproduce this only when I move the spreadsheet window to the secondary monitor. On my Macbook's built in monitor, it behaves properly.
When I move a misbehaving spreadsheet back to the laptop's monitor, I can resize the formula bar properly.

WORKSFORME.

I can not confirm this behavior on OS X 10.8.4 LO 4.1.0.1 with an external monitor. I can extend the formula bar and move it back upwards to go back to the original size.

Any other OS X users willing to test this?

I just tried it again and was able to immediately reproduce it.
Is there some more information I could provide?

Nice catch Tim!

I can confirm this behavior using Mac OSX 10.8.4 with LibreOffice 4.1.0.2 RC.

What I did:

* Connect a second screen, that is an extension of my MacBook Pro 13" screen.
* Open LibreOffice 4.1.0.2 RC
* Open Calc
* enlarge it on my MacBook screen

Behavior: dragging the formula bar works. Not fluently (with a bit of lag), but it works.

* Drag the Calc window to the extended screen
* Enlarge it

Behavior: dragging the formula bar is only possible to enlarge it. I have same behavior as Tim now: When I try to make it smaller again, my cursor jumps to the bottom of the screen.

Kind regards,
Joren
