This is a very similar issue to others posted about the Lenovo D330 in bug 109267 and bug 108826.
I've tried multiple distributions. Live disk Ubuntu 19.02 works but after install, screen boots black. If I run nomodeset in Grub, Ubuntu will boot but with screen rotated 90 degrees left. Xrandr does not function.
My suspicion is the patches created by Hans de Goede will remediate the issue however my specific Lenovo model is not listed and would need to be added.
Can you please attach dmesg from boot with with kernel parameters drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=4M?
What is the kernel version? We recommend to verify the issue with drmtip (https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip).

Reporter, can you please verify the issue with drmtip (https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip)? kernel 5.0.0 is pretty old. Results from drmtip would be helpful during investigation.

No feedback for more than a month. Until we know that issue persists with drmtip setting the priority of the bug to low.
I would recommend to reproduce the issue with drmtip (https://cgit.freedesktop.org/drm-tip). If the problem persists attach the full dmesg from boot with kernel parameters drm.debug=0x1e log_buf_len=4M.
You are reporter of the issue currently having low priority. Do you still see issue. If so, please spesify clearly what is impact to you.
