Description Mark van Rossum 2007-10-06 01:53:27 UTC
After installing the latest radeon drivers for the radeon
(Fedora 8 Test3). X started to hang requiring a reboot.

I was able to narrow it down to
Option "AGPFastWrite" "1"

Indeed the Xorg.0.log says that it is a dangerous option,
but it is a bit annoying because the earlier driver worked fine with this option.
I'm not sure which version that was; just the default Fedora 7 one.

This is an IBM t42p with 9600 fireGL card running Fedora 8 test 3

I can pretty much guarantee this option makes no difference performance-wise. Leave it off.
