Switching to the VT and back, generates a middle click event which is sent to the app that's at the mouse pointers position. I'll attach my xorg.log and xorg.conf in a few minutes for more informations. BTW, this happens on a x86-64 Gentoo system. There is also a bug report over at Gentoo's bugzilla @ http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=194055.
