When attempting to run googles "sketchup6" via wine, only the frame and toolbars are drawn, the workspace image area in the center of the frame contains only raw memory, whose contents are stolen from other windows/screens on the system. All of the pulldowns appear to work, but of course you cannot see what you just drew... Fedora 8, kernel 2.6.27-rc2, uptodate system, radeon 9200SE video card using the aty/radeon driver. The typical screen I see can be seen at <http://gene.homelinux.net:85/gene/pix/Google-Sketchup-8.png> A friend with a similar system but with an nvidia card, using the nvidia binary drivers, works perfectly. Started from a cli to check for errors, I see a lot of these: fixme:wgl:X11DRV_wglChoosePixelFormatARB unused pfAttribFList fixme:wgl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2007 WGL Attribute fixme:wgl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2029 WGL Attribute fixme:wgl:X11DRV_wglGetPixelFormatAttribivARB unsupported 2007 WGL Attribute fixme:wgl:X11DRV_wglChoosePixelFormatARB unused pfAttribFList fixme:wgl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2007 WGL Attribute fixme:wgl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2029 WGL Attribute fixme:wgl:X11DRV_wglChoosePixelFormatARB unused pfAttribFList fixme:wgl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2007 WGL Attribute fixme:wgl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2029 WGL Attribute fixme:wgl:X11DRV_wglChoosePixelFormatARB unused pfAttribFList fixme:wgl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2007 WGL Attribute fixme:wgl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2028 WGL Attribute fixme:wgl:X11DRV_wglChoosePixelFormatARB unused pfAttribFList fixme:wgl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2007 WGL Attribute fixme:wgl:ConvertAttribWGLtoGLX unsupported 2028 WGL Attribute So I'm guessing there is an unimplemented bit of code in the radeon driver. Will this be fixed when the Visiontek X1650 AGP card I ordered today arrives, or am I going to have to reinstall an nvidia card and use the binary blobs to make this work correctly? After my last 2 attempts to use the nvidia blobs resulted in LSN0 of the boot drive being wiped clean, zeroed out, I am more than a bit paranoid about that prospect. Thanks be to the appropriate deity for backup programs like amanda. Many Thanks to the whole Xorg team also.

Sketchup has too steep a learning curve for me to be able to make use of it anyway.

I had forgotten even making that report Alex, sorry. I don't think I ever did get it to work here, but I took that card out a year or more ago, and its now in the "goat" machine, cuz its sacrificial, and currently has ubunbtu-10.4 on it, working as well as a memory starved machine can. I'll have to put sketchup on it, along with wine & try it. When I do, if it doesn't work, I'll yelp.
