Description Nicolò Chieffo 2009-02-12 05:13:37 UTC
Why is search disabled while installing or upgrading? Searching is a readonly action, so it shouldn't (in my opinion) be scheduled after other operations
Comment 1 Nicolò Chieffo 2009-02-12 05:14:31 UTC
I forgot to say I'm using fedora. But also in ubuntu the search is scheduled.
Comment 2 Richard Hughes 2009-02-13 03:39:36 UTC
Limitation of yum I'm afraid. We used to allow stuff like this to happen in parallel, but bad things happened.
Comment 3 Nicolò Chieffo 2009-02-13 04:53:13 UTC
I can use yum (from the terminal) to search while upgrading and yum does not complain.
Are you sure that this thing is dangerous?
