xorg log

WIth g45 GPU and LCD Iiyama ProLite e1700S ( VGA port ) is possible.
I use Intel DG45GI board with DVI->VGA adapter to connect my display, it can't use possible screen resolution. Only way to get it work, is manually edit xorg.conf.
With my old board on Intel i945g GPU it's worked just fine.

the monitor's EDID can't be retrieved. I can't google find your MB model DG45GI, could you double check?

when you connect to your 945G-based old board, do you use the DVI-VGA converter? Do you have another monitor to try? Do you have another DVI-VGA converter to try?

thanks.

Intel DG45ID.
http://www.intel.com/products/desktop/motherboards/DG45ID/DG45ID-overview.htm

With 945G-based old board i have only VGA connector.
There is the same issue with other monitor too.
I will test other converter later if i find one.

ok. we have one such board and have no problem to get EDID.. I should be the converter you are using. please reopen if it isn't...
