a_villacis would be fine.

After approval, what is the recommended procedure to actually commit the patches? Do I use git-push, or perform some other procedure?

After you've committed them to your local tree, push the changes to master. E.g.,

make changes
test
commit
make changes
test
commit
...
git push origin master

How will I find out whether my access has been approved? Will it be posted here?
Comment 7 Alex Villacís Lasso 2009-04-28 14:43:32 UTC
Did something wrong happen with the access request? I have been trying to git-push regularly, but the server always asks me for a password. From what I read, the operation should complete successfully without entering any password. Is my access still not granted, or is there something wrong with my ssh setup?

Hi Alex, nothing wrong, just your account hadn't been setup yet. Things move slowly in the admin ranks at fd.o. Your account has now been setup. You should receive a separate email with access details. If not please let me know.
