In using icon-slicer, I discovered a bug in the source code. It seems as though the wiki page on freedesktop.org is the closest thing to a homepage that the icon-slicer project has. The Ubuntu package even lists it has icon-slicer's homepage.
Unless I'm mistaken, it seems as though there is no maintainer or code repository for the icon-slicer project. For convenience sake, it would be nice if freedesktop.org also had a svn/git/whatever repository so that I could submit bug fixes "upstream" of the various Linux distributions. If need be, I'd be willing to be the maintainer of this project (at least for the time being).
It looks like there is the cvs listed under icon-theme: http://webcvs.freedesktop.org/icon-theme/icon-slicer/
It looks like we found the same bug as you in Sugar a few days ago: http://dev.sugarlabs.org/ticket/297
If you're still willing to take on upstream maintenance of icon-slicer, please submit an account request as per http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/AccountRequests
I'll happily convert the repository to git (or you can do it yourself) and we can get you set up with space to make releases.
No response from submitter, so apparently no interest in maintaining it. Please reopen if you're still interested.
