I'm testing the 2.6.33 drm-next kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-next/current/ on Kubuntu Lucid. My gpu is an Ati Modility Radeon HD 4530 with 256 MB RAM. When using this kernel I encounter glitches / bad rendering in firefox: some characters are distorted / replaced by other characters. Also sometimes glitches show up the firefox menu bar or parts of it disappear. When closing a javascript photo frame popup it leaves a black garbled area which can be cleant by scrolling up and down. Dmesg reports this set of errors many times repeated: [ 916.493405] [drm:radeon_cs_ioctl] *ERROR* Invalid command stream ! [ 916.522047] radeon 0000:01:00.0: z/stencil with no depth buffer [ 916.522053] radeon 0000:01:00.0: r600_packet3_check:1055 invalid cmd stream 140 Maybe glitches will show up in other programs as well. I did not encounter this when using other kernels. If I need to specify more information please ask.
