Is it the laptop panel (LVDS) that shakes or an external monitor like VGA or DVI? Make sure your kernel has this patch: http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/airlied/drm-2.6.git;a=commitdiff;h=267364ac17f6474c69b03034340f769b22f46105 If that doesn't help, does setting radeon.new_pll=0 on the kernel command line help?
In my case, the laptop panel (native laptop monitor) is shaking. No other monitors were attached. At the moment of writing neither kernel patching, nor setting "radeon.new_pll=0" was tried. I will post back once some more info emerges.
Original reporter no longer has the hardware.
