Dmesg

Hi their,

First of all please forgive me I am not a native english writer (and any way my syntax is bad even in my native language).

I run Archlinux with kernel 2.6.35.4, xorg 1.8.1.902 and xf86-video-radeon git version (from git://anongit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati).
Kwin suffer from heavy corruption on taskbarn, launcher, and cursor. Generally spealing the application's window are perfectly fine. I would have join a screenshot but I can't one because of the corruption (here an example : http://imm.io/19gK).

(OK I messed up with the attachements, let's finish my message)

Hi their,

First of all please forgive me I am not a native english writer (and any way my
syntax is bad even in my native language).

I run Archlinux x86_64 with KDE 4.5 kernel 2.6.35.4, xorg 1.8.1.902 and xf86-video-radeon git version (from git://anongit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati).
My bow features an Ati Radeon HD5770, i7 920 intel CPU and 4GB of RAM.

The desktop suffer from heavy corruption on taskbarn, launcher, and cursor. Generally spealing the application's window are perfectly fine. I would have join a screenshot but I can't one because of the corruption (here an example :
http://imm.io/19gK).

Overall KDE without effects is somewhat usable appart from the corruption. With the desktop effects enabled the window's decoration disappear and I have to kill X (pkill X) to log again. Kwin --replace doesn't work and complain that it can't connect to the X server.

Despite that I love having this driver since it allow me to change the power_profile to low which is far better for the sound level from my box. When the computer is idle the noise volume is still a bit higher since with catalyst (on Ubuntu) but that's definitively an improvement.

I would happily bring any additional informations and testing everything needed.

Thank,
Thomas

Is this still an issue with current versions of the driver stack?
