Hi, I am receiving PDF files from the same person who is generating them using Windows XP. All JPG images in the PDF file have at least one horizontal line at the same place or several lines. See attachments for samples. This does not happen when PDF file is viewed using Xpdf. Thank you. Stefan
Created attachment 41690 [details] testcase This is a testcase. It renders fine in xpdf, the white lines appear in the render given by poppler-glib-demo.
Cairo backend bug.
The sample PDF file was created using NitroPDF 6.0 I have now another PDF file which shows the same symptoms and this one was created using Acrobat Distiller 9.3.3 (Windows) - PScript5.dll version 5.2.2
BTW I am running Linux Mint based on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. The cairo version installed is 1.10.0
Created attachment 63764 [details] Sample with Image displaying horizontal lines through image The lines do not appear when viewing the same pdf with Acrobat Reader 9 Not all images have lines This file was created with Publisher XP, and Adobe Distiller 9.5, PDF Maker 9.1 for publisher. PDF-1.4
I also see the issue in a PDF created with Adobe Distiller 9.5. When viewed in Evince, but not in Acroread. If I print-to-file from Acroread the produced PS file (when converted to PDF via ps2pdf) will have the same issue. If I print-to-file from Acroread but print-as-image [advanced options] that PS file will convert to PDF and not have the horizontal lines.
(In reply to Albert Astals Cid from comment #2) > Cairo backend bug. Hi - who do you think could take a look at the backend bug?
