Description Sven 2011-02-16 03:03:25 UTC
Hi,

I'm using xorg-server 1.9.4 together with xf86-video-ati-6.14.0 on my IBM ThinkPad T60p (ATI Technologies Inc M56GL [Mobility FireGL V5250).

When using the internal LCD (1400x1050) and an external LCD (connected via VGA, 1680x1050), then I experince the following:

- occosional flickering
- certain applications almost deterministically cause, that parts of the first screen appear on the second screen
- a few minutes after this graphics corruption, the X-server locks up, or crashes.
- dmesg shows [drm:drm_mode_getfb] *ERROR* invalid framebuffer id

The system remains kind-of unstable, even after an X-server restart. A warm reboot is needed to have a stable system again.

Please attach your xorg log and dmesg output. Also what kernel are you using?

Mass closure: This bug has been untouched for more than six years, and is not
obviously still valid. Please reopen this bug or file a new report if you continue to experience issues with current releases.
