Description Thomas Lindroth 2011-07-07 04:02:01 UTC
I use an xrandr desktop with two monitors connected to hdmi and vga. When starting gnuplot the 2nd head connected with vga gets corrupted. The contents of the first screen is copied to it. Redrawing windows will make them display correctly again so I often drag a windows all over the 2nd screen to repair it. This often cause the X server to segfault.

I've had this problem for a while now. I used to get the same error when starting gimp but that works fine now. As far as I can tell this only happens with gnuplot and gimp. Using an Evergreen cedar card with xorg-server-1.10.2 and linus kernel, mesa, xf86-video-ati, libdrm compiled from git as of today from gentoo live ebuild. I'm running a standard Kde-4.6.4 desktop.

Nothing shows up in dmesg and Xorg.0.log just shows the usual "Caught signal 11" error. My xorg.conf is empty except for a few font paths and LogVerbose serverflag.
