With KMS, they are either not relevant or they are handled via a different interface. See tha radeon man page for which options are relevant for UMS vs KMS. Power management, for example, if handled via sysfs. See the power management section of the radeon feature page for more info: http://wiki.x.org/wiki/RadeonFeature
To me its a bug, because its not working. I have to open my case because my cpu are even when the are doing nothing (only showing desktop). The temperature is around 70C en the clock speed are still maximal. With the ATI driver the clock speeds were reduced by 50% and the temperature too, I have to admit that crossfire is supported and that also bings the temperature down a bit. man radeon gives me: In addition, the following driver Options are supported for BOTH UMS (Userspace Modesetting) and KMS (Kernel Modesetting): Option "DepthBits" "integer" Option "ClockGating" "boolean" Option "DynamicPM" "boolean" Option "ForceLowPowerMode" "boolean" Option "DMAForXv" "boolean" These options are according the manual VALID options. only Option "DynamicClocks" has no hit. Something is not working for my video card. Regards,

You need to use alternate means to configure those features with KMS. As I said before, see the power management section of the radeon feature page for more info: http://wiki.x.org/wiki/RadeonFeature Also FWIW, the open source drivers do not take advantage of crossfire yet. > > man radeon gives me: > > In addition, the following driver Options are supported for BOTH UMS (Userspace > Modesetting) and KMS (Kernel Modesetting): That is incorrect. See the man page: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati/tree/man/radeon.man "In addition, the following driver Options are supported for both UMS (Userspace Mode-setting) and KMS (Kernel Modesetting): Option "SWcursor" "boolean" Option "NoAccel" "boolean" Option "ZaphodHeads" "string" Option "EXAVSync" "boolean"" > > Option "DepthBits" "integer" Not relevant for KMS as KMS has a unified memory manager. > Option "ClockGating" "boolean" Handled in the kernel with KMS. > Option "DynamicPM" "boolean" Handled in the kernel with KMS. > Option "ForceLowPowerMode" "boolean" Handled in the kernel with KMS. > Option "DMAForXv" "boolean" KMS always uses DMA for Xv. > > These options are according the manual VALID options. They are only for UMS as specified in the man page.
