Description Michal Suchanek 2011-10-20 01:48:24 UTC
This is likely caused by vsync syncing.

Apparently vsync is generated when screen is blanked.

When running glxgears and screen is blanked (xset dpms force off) sometimes glxgears would run at top speed, sometimes it would report 0 frames for the period when screen is blanked.

Linux 3.0.0-10-generic

X.Org X Server 1.10.4
