Created attachment 54702 [details] Spreadsheet that always crashes upon entering the first letter I have downloaded the latest Master and have been testing it. The attached spreadsheet always crashes when I type into it using the Master. The same spreadsheet performs well with LibreOffice 3.4.4 OOO340m1 (Build:402) I have another spreadsheet that has some similar elements that also crashes. LOdev 3.5.0beta1+ Build ID: 26c284f-7f15fca-8eae9f1-ca8e46d-5bcbce4
Can you try Beta2 from yesterday?
Please provide link to beta2. I can find nothing with yesterday's date, that is, 12/21. Thank you.

Most recent beta still crashes.
Can reproduce it here
Are you sure that you did not try a master build? Master crashed immediately while 3.5 does not crash at all. Problem should be fixed in master now too.

Here's the odd thing. If I enter soffice as a startup application, OR If I use a launcher with this command, /opt/lodev3.5/pr*/soffice the spreadsheet crashes. BUT If I open a terminal, navigate to /opt/lodev3.5/pr* and then enter soffice, my spreadsheet runs fine.
Strange. Can you try with beta3 as soon as it is out. I fixed some nasty crashs for beta3 and some of them might have caused that. If it is still reproducible we need a way to debug this.
If I change my launcher to the following, the crash does not happen. cd /opt/lodev3.5/pr* soffice But if the launcher reads /opt/lodev3.5/pr*/soffice it crashes when I enter the first character. It also crashes when I add soffice as a startup application in Ubuntu's oneiric.
Does that happen with writer too?
No. It does not crash with Writer (at least it hasn't yet) and I was using multipage documents with some complex formatting and sections, too.
I fixed the obvious crash I can't reproduce the other one
Beta 2 seems to have solved the problem in the 04-Jan-2012 build. Soffice opens fine as a startup app, spreadsheet does not crash on entering data, saves.
