Created attachment 56802 [details] The image on displayport connected monitor. The dark section in the middle is a mirror of terminal covering another desktop in another monitor Picture on display port monitor on a dual screen setup is very corrupted, it mirrors partly the other screen Cursor is rendered just fine on top of the screen. I've had some problems before with this setup, but nothing this severe. This seems to be related to a previously unseen error in dmesg: [ 151.477541] [drm:radeon_dp_get_link_status] *ERROR* displayport link status failed [ 151.477545] [drm:radeon_dp_link_train_cr] *ERROR* clock recovery failed

I have stock ubuntu oneiric kernel, linux-image-3.2.0-030200rc2-generic
Can you try a 3.3rc3 kernel? What kind of monitor is attached to the Displayport connector?
Sure, I'll see if I can find it on the repos. If not, might take a bit longer. The displayport is connected to an active dp-to-dldvi adapter, which is connected to Samsung SyncMaster 305tplus (monitor with only dldvi input, and accepts only 2560x1600 and 1280x800 modes). The dvi is connected to HP LP2475w, which is pivoted. The APU is A3500 connected to Asus F1A75V_PRO motherboard.
Running now on 3.3rc3, same results.
After the latest update, it works now fine.
