Unigine Heaven black render.jpg

Unigine Heaven benchmark 2.5 only renders black with the radeon driver although menus are visible (see attachment). This does not appear to be a dublicate of similar bug 41744 as it is not only the textures that are rendered black. This happens with both 32 bit and 64 bit binaries.

System:

3.8 GHz PhenomII x4 core AMD processsor
4GB DDR3 RAM
Sapphire Radeon 6950 graphics card

$yum info xorg-x11-drv-ati.x86_64

gives:

Does installing libtxc-dxtn fix the issue?
Comment 5 mikey 2012-02-26 12:54:01 UTC
No, it improves the quoted framerate, but it is still rendered black.
Comment 6 Michel Dänzer 2012-02-27 01:01:02 UTC
Could be bug 38173 — does Mesa 8.0.1 or newer work better?
Comment 7 mikey 2012-02-27 05:36:22 UTC
Heaven does not work at all with Mesa 8.0.1. See attached logs, tested with Fedora 17.

Ugh yeah, that's a bug in Unigine Heaven: bug 45238

Not sure what to suggest for that. :(
