Description Jim Klein 2012-03-04 10:43:30 UTC
xf86-video-modesetting is awesome as a fallback when no other driver is available, however it fails to resume from suspend (black screen). Switching to other VTs works fine, less-desirable fbdev driver works fine, just not modesetting. Tried variety of quirk combinations, including disabling quirks altogether, to no avail. Running against kernel 3.3rc5 on Intel Atom N2600 (GMA3600 GPU w/ gma500_gfx driver).

does VT switch work okay?

Yes.
Comment 3 Jim Klein 2012-03-08 08:48:37 UTC
Tracked this down to a bug in the gma500_gfx driver. Sorry for the confusion.
