Hi, I noticed a problem in libXft with a commit[1] that removes some ifdeffery, you remove an AC_CHECK_FUNCS from configure.ac but not the corresponding #if lines in the code, so the code inside those blocks is never executed anymore.

I'm attaching a patch that removes the #ifs so emboldening works again. (The commit message is slightly wrong, i know).
