Description Eduard Luhtonen 2005-12-13 18:48:00 UTC
I've tried to run small sample python program, which should list services
registered with DBus, but I'm getting AssertionError. Error message says 'This
is normally a bug in some application using the D-BUS library.' Even so it's
most probably a bug in other application it shouldn't prevent from listing other
services.

I'm using Fedora Core 4 (kernel: 2.6.14-1.1644_FC4) on IBM Thinkpad T43 with
dbus 0.33.
I'll attach the program and the trace back.

Simple python program

I've tried different functions with the same result. You'll see them in
comments.

dbus_obj = bus.get_object('org.freedesktop.DBus', 'org/freedesktop/DBus')

Your object name is wrong. You are missing the first slash '/org/freedesktop/DBus'
