Xorg log w/ EXA enabled, backtrace on exit.

Updating my Gentoo system using the trident driver, I've encountered several bugs with the switch to xorg-server-1.13. First,

TRIDENT_Sync Bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57996

After the fix for that, trident defaults to XAA, which doesn't exist in 1.13.
Specifying EXA allows the server to start...

   Option "AccelMethod" "EXA"

But, when the server is exited the screen goes black and the computer does not respond to keyboard or power button press. ssh works though, and I can start X again, but I can never exit normally.

glx is mentioned in the backtrace, but disabling it results in the same thing.
