Attach your X server log and config file to the bug report, in order for
someone to look at it.

Once your exact PCI ID is known, we can at least try to workaround the
problem until a real fix is available.

Comment 4 Adam Jackson 2006-04-07 12:11:10 UTC
does this bug happen with the NoAccel or ShadowFB options in effect?
Comment 5 Ivan Gyurdiev 2006-04-07 12:50:03 UTC
Yes, it happens with NoAccel, happens with ShadowFB=1, with ShadowFB=0, and
happens with (NoAccel, ShadowFB=1).

I notice something interesting - if I start X with the nvidia driver [ despite
the fact that it crashes right now ], and then change to the nv driver and
restart, there's no corruption. Subsequent restarts with the nv driver cause
corruption.

Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future.
Comment 7 Corbin Simpson 2011-09-14 12:47:58 UTC
xf86-video-nv has been officially unmaintained for a bit now, and we are closing all -nv bugs. If your problem was not addressed, and -nv is still broken, please try xf86-video-nouveau. Thank you.
