I have Dell Precision M4800 with FireGL HD 8870M and Intel Haswell on Fedora 20. Windows 7 works fine. On Fedora external monitor is always corrupted in addition to getting EDID checksum errors that I can overcome with xrandr --off/--auto. Below are pictures of the monitor corruption (screenshot comes out to be fine). There are basically screen erasure issues: mouse cursor leaves traces, window resizing leaves pieces of window lying around, weird triangles coming and going all over. I'm using opensource radeon with latest 1.0.4 intel display drivers.

It could just be the PRIME synchronisation issue, but let's see if the radeon guys have any clue first.
I'm inclined to say it's PRIME issues. Is it a problem if you use the radeon card directly rather than as an offload slave?

When docked, a monitor attached to the VGA (HD 15) port works great, but the same monitor attached to either of the DP ports does not redraw correctly. That is if I move a window there is a trail of pieces of the window from the original position to the new position. Similarly, if I do an `ls -la' in a window the files are not visible unless I slightly move the window, hit enter, or otherwise cause the screen to be redrawn. I have tried several different cable and monitor combinations all with the same result. I am happy to provide any additional info. Thanks, Don

Created attachment 114615 [details] Steam corruption with PRIME With steam started with DRI_PRIME=1 I'm seeing corruption too. Same hardware with ivy bridge + HD 7970M. It's not permanent corruption, it's maybe every 30 seconds to a few minutes or so and goes away after 1-3 seconds. It's not super urgent that this is implemented, but as it is now, it produces some pretty bad looking stuff...
Is this still an issue with dri3 + latest git radeon driver?
The underlying issue that dma-buf fences are not implemented on the intel side is still not fixed. Many games are still only playable with xf86-video-ati and LIBGL_DRI3_DISABLE=1.
