Example chart for data series label.

In the format option of data labels it is not possible to show the name of the data series. - Which however is quite useful for charts w/o legend.
See also attached chart as example.

How to reproduce:
1. Create any chart
2. right click a data series, select "Insert data labels"
3. right click again and select "Format data label"

Actual:
- No option to show name of data series.

Expected:
- Option to show name of data series.

Can you describe what you mean by no option to show name of data series? Do you mean entering the labels in a legend? Or showing the name in the format dialog? marking as UNCONFIRMED. Thanks for helping me understand, just not getting that last little bit, after which I can confirm the request.

Ultimately I want to show the name of the data series in the chart, inside the bars. - So what I'm missing here is the option in the format dialog for this.

See also attached screenshot (of attached spreadsheet), where I have drawn into what I want - hopes that makes it clear.

No, you see only categories, please look again.

Sorry for the confusion, but I accidentally mixed series and categories (but corrected in the screenshot) - thats why it differs from the sheet.

Example chart for data series label.

Corrected version with series vs categories.

When editing a chart, right-click on a data series > Format Data Labels... (or first insert it if this option is not available) > Data Labels tab > there is no "Show series" option, only a "Show category" option. Using attachment 103365 [details] under GNU/Linux I can confirm that this has been the case since v3.3.4.1. Thanks for the clear example. It would be useful to have this option. Status set to NEW.
