Description Lukasz Krotowski 2014-11-14 15:32:50 UTC
When starting X server with 3.17.2 it fails with: (EE) RADEON(0): [drm] Failed to open DRM device for pci:0000:01:00.0: Inappropriate ioctl for device. The same configuration starts correctly with 3.16.6.

Versions: xserver - 1.16.1, xf86-video-ati - 7.5.

Can you bisect the kernel?
Comment 6 Lukasz Krotowski 2014-11-18 16:56:59 UTC
I've tried to bisect only to find that vanilla kernels work fine. I've built my distro kernel with most of it's patches removed (keeping only essential ones) and it also works fine. So I suppose this bug does not belong here.
