Description andycham+042 2014-12-04 18:18:21 UTC
In the D-Bus specification currently on the website it says

"Interface names are composed of 1 or more elements separated by a period ('.') character. All elements must contain at least one character."

and then

"Interface names must contain at least one '.' (period) character (and thus at least two elements)."

Why not say in the first sentence

Interface names are composed of 2 or more elements...

and remove "(and thus at least two elements)"?

As I read on I realise that the same is true of bus names.

I don't see an inconsistency. It's just redudant.

Well, one point says there must be at least one item, and the other that there must be at least two. That seems inconsistent to m1.

I see what you mean. Both should say two or more elements.
