Description letharion 2015-05-14 12:47:13 UTC
I recently installed a new system on a A8-3850/Radeon HD 6550.

I have a green sort of "jitter" across the green, in particular in games, but also in the browser over areas that are mostly dark/black.

I was originally running 7.5 of the driver along with kernel 3.18.12. I tried upgrading to the git driver and 4.0.2 kernel, but it made no difference.

Downgrading the driver to 7.3 also didn't help.
I couldn't immediately compile the 6.x series, but if it helps narrowing something down, I could try again.

Can you get a picture of it? Does it look like graphical corruption or a problem with the signal to the monitor? Please attach your xorg log and dmesg output.

> or a problem with the signal to the monitor

I pulled out the cable, plugged it in again, and tightened the screws. The problem disappeared.

Apologies for wasting your time.
