Created attachment 120099 [details] dmesg Had random lockups since Arch Linux updated their packages to 7.6.1 xf86-video-ati. It mostly happens when watching videos on VLC (I have disabled accelerated hardware video decoding on it because of another issue) or HTML5 videos on Firefox. But I had instance where it locked up overnight.
What packages did you update (ddx? mesa? kernel?)? Can you narrow down which component caused the regression?
Several of them were pulled at the same time, don't know which of them is causing the problem: [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded glib2 (2.46.1-1 -> 2.46.2-1) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded mesa (11.0.5-1 -> 11.0.6-1) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded lib32-mesa (11.0.5-1 -> 11.0.6-1) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded lib32-mesa-libgl (11.0.5-1 -> 11.0.6-1) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded lib32-mesa-vdpau (11.0.5-1 -> 11.0.6-1) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded mesa-libgl (11.0.5-1 -> 11.0.6-1) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded mesa-vdpau (11.0.5-1 -> 11.0.6-1) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded xf86-input-evdev (2.10.0-1 -> 2.10.0-2) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded xf86-video-ati (1:7.5.0-2 -> 1:7.6.1-1) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded xorg-server-common (1.17.4-2 -> 1.18.0-3) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded xorg-server (1.17.4-2 -> 1.18.0-3) [2015-11-22 17:29] [ALPM] upgraded xorg-server-devel (1.17.4-2 -> 1.18.0-3) Latest Arch kernel (4.2.5-1) is from 2015-10-29, and I didn't have this issues before the above updates.
