Setting (not just querying) the dimensions of the graphics with xrandr and latest randr-1.2 branch and latest mesa/drm causes a hang. git bisect points at: dagb@insp8k2 ~/drm $ (16:10) git bisect bad 4e9d215bdfe72588cbacdb17ab9b60a42a43aefb is first bad commit commit 4e9d215bdfe72588cbacdb17ab9b60a42a43aefb Author: Dave Airlie <airlied@linux.ie> Date: Sun Jun 3 16:28:21 2007 +1000 radeon: add support for vblank on crtc2 This add support for CRTC2 vblank on radeon similiar to the i915 support :040000 040000 f61df8859026aa0845198db6d47337cf18cb80c2 36e8adb634b020f08ae389e2cd172e011fbe0f18 M linux-core :040000 040000 f4e599090311d9f1789fbf8042a1ec58d71e60de 45a55cc5d688df2d91ce910a25097768f2b9b500 M shared-core I have no secondary monitor attached. I use the built-in panel of my Dell Inspiron 8200.
See 11169 for why I need to use xrandr and 3483 for why I'd like to be able to run without vblank interrupts.
No longer a problem. I have new hardware, and I bet the bug is fixed ages ago.
