The attached patch adds support for a new keyboard layout, "acer_laptop" - after trying to gather as much information as possible, I'm pretty confident that this should support most Acer laptops from 2004 onwards (for some of the keys, HAL 0.5.10 and above is required to do the correct scancode-to-keycode mapping for keys that generate unknown scancodes).
