When trying to start firefox15 via VNC in a blackpox desktop env. i get below
Error: Cairo 1.4.10 does not yet support the requested image format:
        Depth: 8

        Blue  mask: 0x000000c0

changing component to "general" since this is hardly specific to the font backend
